Today marks a silent yet profound evolution. We have renamed this platform “New Visions in Art | 艺术新视野.”
This is more than a change of title; it is a long-considered elevation of perspective. It stems from a growing conviction: as artistic inquiry delves into the uncharted territory where philosophy and technique merge, any geographical prefix can inadvertently become a frame that limits understanding. The dialogue we seek concerns the contemporary life of ink, the Eastern translation of color, and the visions and ideas that surge upon the canvas, transcending cultural boundaries. Thus, we have chosen to retire the old name and embrace a more open, more intrinsically focused moniker — “New Visions.”

What are the “New Visions”?

First, it signifies looking inward with depth. It represents the continuous interrogation and elaboration of the pioneering aesthetic system of “Fantasy-Color Freehand” (幻彩写意): How does the millennia-old skeleton of brush and ink grow the muscular tissue of contemporary color? How can the misty diffusion on Xuan paper refract a spectrum of light across time and space? This will be a space to document the traces of creation, the breaking and making of techniques, and the silent dialogues with great masters of the past.

Furthermore, it means gazing outward with breadth. “New Visions” is an invitation—an invitation for all eyes attentive to the future forms of art to contemplate an experiment in progress: how an artist, with the philosophical anchor of Muran Gong and the open posture of Lu Guanyu, encodes the genes of Eastern aesthetics into the grammar of contemporary global visual language. It is about lineage, and even more about creation; about roots, and fundamentally about growth.

From a New Coordinate

This new name is a sincere tribute to, and a natural transcendence of, the past stage of “New Perspectives on Oriental Art.” It carries forward the acuity and contemplation of observation, resolved now to move into a broader space of interpretation and collaborative construction.

Henceforth, “New Visions in Art” will be our shared ground:

· A live site presenting the evolution of Fantasy-Color Freehand creations.
· A textual space for interpreting the artistic philosophy and formal language of Muran Gong / Lu Guanyu.
· An open forum for sharing and engaging with global art friends and collectors on the “New Visions” for the future of art.

The change is here. The perspective is refreshing. We invite you to join us in gazing upon the exciting new visions about to emerge.

Lu Guanyu, originally named Lu Jinsong and also known as Mr. Moran, is a painter and contemporary artist. In the new century, he pioneered the style of Fantasy-Color Freehand ink painting. From the perspective of the era and the world, he shapes Eastern culture, offering new observations and fresh perspectives on Eastern art, thereby fulfilling the long-cherished aspiration of his mentor, Mr. Ran, for a grand gathering of Eastern art.
